Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accompanied by her MPs, held a crucial meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, focusing on the outstanding amount of Rs 1.16 lakh crore for various schemes, including MNREGA. During the meeting, Banerjee submitted a comprehensive three-page memorandum detailing the pending funds and financial requirements for ongoing projects.
She highlighted the urgency of addressing the financial backlog and emphasized the need for prompt action. In response, Prime Minister Modi assured that Central and State officials would collaboratively examine the outstanding issue, aiming to find a resolution to the funding concerns raised by the West Bengal government.
